FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is enamel?

Enamel is glass in a powdered or liquid form, which when heated turns molten when applied to various metals. Enamel can be kiln fired or torch fired and when it cools it becomes a solid and vibrant colour.

How do I care for my enamel pieces?

Due to enamel being glass if dropped, they can shatter or chip although this rarely happens. Bowls should be handwashed only and dried with a soft cloth. Enamel items are not dishwasher proof.

Can a piece of jewellery be made in another colour?

The answer is YES, absoloutely. Feel free to get in touch if you have a particular colour in mind that is not on my website. I am happy to discuss your requirements.

Will each piece be replicated exactly the same?

I will always endeavour to create the item you see in the photo, if it is not already in stock. However, some techniques I use will always create a different end result, ensuring that each piece is unique to you.

How do I look after copper and silver jewellery?

Copper and silver tend to tarnish over time, however they are easily cleaned using appropriate jewellery cleaning products which are generally found in your local hardware store. Always use a soft cloth on the exposed areas and never use an abrasive product the the glass enamel.

How long will my order take to be dispatched?

If the item is already made up and in stock they will be dispatched within 24 hours. I quote a timescale of 3 - 5 working days if they are having to be made, depending on my workload. Custom orders take up to 10 days.
